Yesterday, Yahoo added their Glue product to the US. Originally, it was in India only. Here’s the official blog post, and here’s the link to Glue.Yahoo.com.
Of course, the first thing I typed in was the term “golf“. I knew that Glue pulls in images from Flickr, and was interested in how many (if any) of my images would appear. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that 5 of the possible 8 images were mine!
It’s interesting that 4 of the 5 are of women from various golf shows. Also, the YouTube video that loads involves a woman as well. Clearly, the popular stuff involves this type of media; wonder if Yahoo will tweak their settings?
Regardless, lots of new traffic for my Flickr account. Thanks Yahoo!

Glue is pretty cool, just typed in golf and saw the results you were talking about. I about fell out of my chair laughing when I saw your golfball, because I had done the same thing for OGB! We should totally have a tracking number on each ball and do something like, if found, please visit http://…. and enter tracking number and where you found it
Or Yahoo could just say: “Here’s how to build an automated spam site that scrapes other peoples content”
