Reply to @funtrivia via Twitter. Don’t send a direct message. This way, it’s very easy to keep track of who replies first, second and third; Twitter puts them in the right order automatically. Great question!

Hey Lori,

the account @funtrivia isn’t following anyone, yet I’m able to see replies. Possibly it’s this: When you type the “@” symbol, then copy/paste a name, Twitter adds a space between the symbol and name. Remove that space.

When direct messaging someone, you need the space.

So, an example of each would be:

@funtrivia (note, no spaces)
d @funtrivia (direct message to the account)

Sounds like a very interesting idea. I have been fighting the thought of starting twittering, as I already spend way too much time on social networks, but this might be worth giving it a try
